My mysterious muse, soul mate and life companion had ancestors in the Venice of the Doges. She bought the toy carnival mask or domino in the Kew Gardens shop it it inspired us to arrange this portrait in one of our favourite gardens only this morning (November 28th 2009). Liquidamber is the name of the tree, it retains its autumn coloured leaves for longer than most maples.
