Radioactive Waste Decontamination In Progress

Description

A cross eye viewable stereoscopic pair of a drain clearing tanker which has been solarised and inverted. This is just one of the many hazardous consequences of running a nuclear reactor at home! This equipment seemed to be here for about three or four days running, making me wonder just what those people had been flushing down their drains [shades of Dennis Neilson!].

It helps to have a DSLR camera, but in principal it can be done with any. What I do is take a shot, shwway or shuffle sideways a bit, keeping the main image centred, then take another. I have it down to less than one second under ideal conditions. If nothing moves except the camera and it's held at the same angle each time, kept vertical and so on, then the result should be a left eye/right eye pair which only have to be pasted together in reverse order and levelled up. I think most digital image editing suites could handle that. PS CS5 has this neat 'solarise' filter but that wasn't essential to the stereo effect. You should visit our stereo folder aegiandyad.deviantart.com/gallery/25121456 . Some of the images there are quite bizarre, if not impossible.
