Architectural historians and fans of tradition building such as Alex Clifton Taylor news.bbc.co.uk/local/wiltshire… used to bang on about new buildings being 'polite' or showing some form of good manners in fitting in or contrasting well with whatever was there before; something the post modernists don't quite seem to have grasped, judging by this view of one of London's newest and tallest buildings.
